Mike and Bev
McCarthy

The artists have been in love with glass for years. The husband
and wife and best friend team of Mike and Bev McCarthy have
been making beads for eight years, having studied Glass Beadmaking
(Lampworking) with masters in the United States and Europe. The McCarthy's are also promoters of the successful Northeast Bead Shows, "Bead Fiesta".

Mike has a diverse technical and military background and Bev has had a career in design, marketing and project management. They love
the outdoors, traveling, hiking, New Mexico, hot
air ballooning, aviation and camping. When they
are not in their glass studio, they can be found traveling across the country on the Bead Show circuit.

The McCarthy's take their inspirations from nature, history and things common and mechanical. Their working palette is strongly influenced by their love of nature and travel. In addition to fine art pieces, you'll find that the McCarthy's also create objects and beads for the whimsical in all of us.

They currently work in their own studio in Sterling, Massachusetts
and their RV traveling studio.
